This is a great pair of Alien swim goggles from Mad Wave. I picked them to try out mainly because they look a lot like the Arena Cobra Swipe goggles, but the price is mid-range.
As far as visuals go, the goggles are really nice and even a hobbyist will feel like a professional swimmer in them. The goggles have relatively large eyepieces and mirrored lenses to protect your eyeballs from the sun. The molded silicone seal makes them super comfortable and keeps them nice on your eyes.
They have an interchangeable beam, so you can determine which length suits you best and adjust the swim goggles to your preference.
They have extended legs on the sides made of flexible material. These help keep the goggles where they should be (on your head so they don't fall off). These feet tend to be hard on other brands and can push, but these are nice and soft. Also, the glasses have a double strap. This kind of strap is designed as one long rubber band that is threaded through the glasses twice. The advantage is a better hold on your head, because you can put one strip higher and the other lower.
When swimming, the goggles were comfortable and fit beautifully on the first try. I probably wouldn't have needed a headband to go with them. The only thing that surprised me was the rather dark lenses. Great for outdoor swimming, but for the pool I would personally choose a little lighter.
Everyone's face is different so I can't say that these Mad Wave swim goggles will fit everyone, but if you like more eye space, these goggles are a good choice.
Lastly...although the goggles look very similar to Arena's goggles, the design and usability are a little different. I would recommend these goggles to hobbyists, novice swimmers, andtriathletes looking for a good goggle at a good price. For competitive swimmers, I would recommend them for training.
Designed in universal size for adults.
Antifog is an antifog layer inside the eyepieces. This layer significantly reduces glare. We recommend that you wash your swimming glasses with clean water after swimming and, before putting it into the case keep your goggles dry completely. Do not wipe your goggles with any handkerchiefs or touch them, damage the anti-fog layer, and the goggles will become foggy.
UV-filter absorbs dangerous UVA and UVB radiation, which can damage your vision. The goggles with UV-filter are suitable for outside and inside swimming.
The goggles have a wide angle of vision, providing you wide view and you can observe the surroundings. Ideal for swimmers on open water or triathlon.
Swimming goggles have a double straps. This type of tape is designed as one long elastic band, which is doubled. Its advatage is that it fits to the head better, you can put one strap above and one below or set each of them according to your needs. The great advantage of these straps is that even if they are torn they can easily be replaced by new ones.
The goggles have an exchangeable nose bridge. The nose bridge can be removed and replaced for longer or shorter ones. You can determine which length best suits you and adjust your swimming goggles according to your requirements and shape of your face.
It is designed as unisex.
There are 4 sizes of exchangeable nose bridges available.
